what an experience man.. heh.. =) i just came back from Tribes '04 organised by the campus ministry.. yup... it was held at sentosa from 4:00pm friday afternoon to 9:00am saturday morning.. and yes, the thingy took place throughout the night.. no sleep, no bath.. no nothing.. except abundant grace from God and lots and lots of fun! hee! =)
so firstly, i met pearlyn at cold storage at harbour front centre to collect cardboard boxes.. 'cos we needed them to build a shelter for our tribe.. yup.. then later we met benedict, jiahao, jac and pam at the mrt and we all took the sentosa shuttle bus into sentosa.. (we were the last tribe to arrive.. hahahah!)
so we had our briefing and we started building our shelter! hee! =) at first we were quite clueless about how to set up our shelter.. then thanks to the brilland army guys in our tribe, we used u-gene's hammock as the roof between two trees on a SMALL little hill, and then used black trash bags as the walls.. and u-gene also had his army camoflouge cloth.. we used it for our entrance.. so in the end our shelter had a very outdoor kind of feel to it.. it was like a tree house.. wahahahah! looked very very good and very pro and verycool and it blended in with the trees and the whole surrounding.. hahaha.. i'm so proud of my tribe.. hahaha! although there's one thing that i must confess.. we built it over alot of ant holes.. hahaha.. so we had alot of funny insects, mostly ants (which bite!), crawling onto our feet and legs.. hahaha.. but we didn't use the shelter at all.. just used it to put our bags.. yup.. =)
so after that we had outdoor cooking.. yupyup.. the usual lah.. mass tins, solid fuel, lots of maggi mee, canned beans (yummy), canned sardines... yupyup! but the noodles didn't taste very great lah.. but still edible lah.. heh.. =)
so after that we washed the tins blah blah blah and then we started our 4-hr long games! heh =) first up for us is just 'tribal timeout', where we were to discuss what to dress up our tribe leader as.. so we had some whacky idea of dressing up benedict as a merlion.. hahahah! 'cos the merlion was just beside our campsite.. hahaha.. so we got down to work and made full use of our materias.. heh.. the end-result was HILARIOUS. hahahah!
ok, so next game was 'tribal trekk'.. we were to go in pairs through a trail in the dark.. yupyup.. so pearlyn and i went together.. the first half of the trail was perfectly fine.. not scary at all.. 'cos it was not as dark.. then we were just chatting and singing praises to our Daddy in Heaven.. heh.. THEN, it came to one junction where we had to turn right into a very dark trail.. and... we saw someone sitting along the trail!!!! it was super freaky!!!!!! you know i was like, " oh shit.. Jesus Jesus Jesus... mummy mummy mummy.." hahahahah! then i think i also scared pearlyn.. hahaha! dont' know whether she would have been scared if she was with someone else.. hahahah! then we really didn't dare to turn into that trail and we were like seriously clinging on to each other.. hahahah! then thank God, mitch(my sister's friend) and his partner came behind us, and the walked past the lady sitting by the trail, it turned out to be michelle(my sister's caregroup too).. but it was still freaky!! 'cos she just sat there!!! no movement at all!! then when we walked past her, she was like,"haiyo, these two girls ah.." wahahahahahahh!! super funny.. so from then on.. the trail was really dark and scary.. so we walked walked walked until we had to turn into another dark trail.. hahaha.. and this time we were really freaked out.. we hestitated for a very long time and we were really clinging on to each other.. hahahah! super funny.. but scary too.. hahaha.. i think we were there for like about 5 mintues.. ahhaha.. then THANK GOD u-gene and benedict came after us!! hahahahah! so they were like laughing at us and then they led the way.. hahahaha! brave young army men.. hahaha! so walk walk walk.. then SUDDENLY!!!!!!!!!!!! i saw a guy sitting on a railing along the path!!! my goodnesss!!!!! i SCREAMMMMEEEEEEDDDDDD like mad!!! hahahahahahah! pearlyn too! hahahahahah! really screamed man.. hahahahah! then u-gene and ben were like laughing at us.. hahahaha! they lah! you know they saw the guy but then they didn't tell us! hahahahahah! the guy was jeremy.. from our care group too.. he's in the committee for this event.. yup.. wa! i really got a shock of my life man.. hahaha! so anyway.. the four of us continued to walk and then we decided to hide in the bushes to guess the next group coming along.. hahahahah! but wa! these three girls ah.. not scared at all leh!! not fun one.. hahahah they were just like,"oh hi" or something like that lah.. hahaha.. bleh... hahahaha.. so that was the night trail.. very fun.. hahahahah! =)
then next we had "tribal candle lights".. something like that lah.. the aim of the game is to protect the four strings around your master candle.. and to snap the strings of the other tribes' master candles..yupyup.. and there could only be one defender for each master candle.. so first we all allied and wanted to kill teenzeal.. hahahah! but the teenzeal guy was so super funny!! he was like "wa wa wa" hahahah.. he was like so swift.. wahahahahh! he's so funny!!!! hahahahah! then he had his weird,"custom check!" thingy.. hahahahahah! i don't really know how to describe what he did but you have to be there to see it.. 'cos he was suppose to blow out the candles that are attempting to burn his tribe's strings.. ya.. then he was like very fast.. hahaha.. and like bouncing around.. super duper funny.. hahahahah! anyway, after second half, everyone started attacking my tribe!!! hahahahah! but jia hao did an excellent job of blowing out the attackers' candles.. hahaha.. but in the end, all four of our strings still snapped.. hahahah.. but never mind lah.. we had fun.. that was the main purpose.. heh.. and the wax ah!!! keep dripping on my leg leh.. very pain.. heh.. =)
the last game was 'tribal squimmish' hahahaah.. it's bascially war games.. aiya, i can't be bothered to explain the rules of the game.. hahaha.. anyway, i have a feeling that some of you are bored reading this loooonnngggg blog.. hahaha
so after all these games we had praise and worship at the amphitheatre near the muscial fountain.. yupyup.. then i thought we'll get to go back to base camp to rest and bathe but then noooooo.. we went to the ancient museum there and played some more games! hahahahah! there were six short games altogehter which were really fun.. yupyup! i also lazy to elaborate further.. heh.. =)
ok, so i guess the highlight of Tribes for teshuwa ( my tribe's name which means victory in hebrew) was the last activity.. which was the prize presentation... so the person was announcing the second prize winner.. she said, " it's a tribe with a three-syllabal name", then " the tribe's name starts with T".. "and second prize goes to..... TE SHUWA!".. then there was a moment of silence.. like maybe five seconds later, my whole tribe went "HUH??!!" hahahahaha!! it was super funny!! 'cos we all didn't expect to win AT ALL!! 'cos no one knew our tribe name.. it was too confusing to remember.. hahahah.. and our tribe was like tiny.. only nine people in total.. six babes and three hunks.. hahahah! we were really in SHOCK i tell you.. hahahahah! this really shows that God's grace is upon us man! hee! =) praise God! He's really so amazing.. full of surprises.. heh.. =)
so anyway the prize was a campus black water bottle and handphone pouches.. yupyup.. wa... now thinking back to what happened during Tribes right.. i must say that i really had a wonderful experience.. especially when i get to share it with my caregroup members.. 'cos a few of us feel that our caregroup is not bonded at all and that we feel very left out.. ya.. but then after this event.. i really feel very good.. and very happy.. so next saturday there's campus.. i really hope that i'll go there and be able to followship with my caregroup members.. ya.. and like be able to talk comfortably with u-gene, jiahao, bendict, jac and pam.. yeah... that will be so amazing.. 'cos everytime when i go for campus right, my two closest caregroup members, pearlyn and lydia, are always not there.. so i really feel super duper out of place.. had that feeling. man.. yeah.. so trust God! that He'll help me have a good time at campus and the campuses to come! heh.. =) that i'll be able to establish a close friendship with my caregroup members.. heh.. and not feel awkward or not myself at all.. and help me to talk more and not be quiet.. heh.. =) that's quite demanding but hey hey, nothing is impossible for my dear Daddy in Heaven! hee! =)
tomorrow's the start of a new term.. yeah.. really can't wait.. can't wait to go back to school and see all my friends.. heh.. one full month of not attending lessons.. wow.. hahahaha.. but the june holidays really just like flew by.. super fast... tomorrow's going to be very interesting.. 'cos we'll be meeting our new chem tutor and we'll know who our new form teacher is.. yupyup.. =)

tomorrow i'm going for my church's youth group (campus)'s activity.. it's called tribes... something like survivor.. yupyup.. quite interesting! heh..we'll be like building our own shelter and stuff.. heh.. bet it'll be an unforgettable experience.. just like the other time when me,kes,banana,serene played amazing race with banana's church.. heh.. but for this tribes thingy, i really hope that i'll enjoy myself fully.. and that i'll be closer to my other caregroup members... yupyup.. really want to bond and click with them.. =)going to study with audrey in school in the morning, then have training, then going to sentosa for the tribes thingy.. playing games throughout the night.. shiok man.. i wonder how it'll turn out.. heh.. no! i trust God that i'll have lots of lots of fun and that i'll NOT feel left out and that i'll have lots and lots of fun.. heh.. =)

children are just too hyper.. heh.. =)
i went for cip today with the clementi student care centre at west coast park.. which was really convenient for me 'cos my house is just a road away from west coast park.. heh.. =) yay! =) i went with meishi, jialing, ken and joshua.. they are all classmates.. yup.. so we went there.. and waited for the kids to arrive.. there were 21 of them.. and two adults.. yup... wa! we walked the WHOLE of west coast park.. it's FAR man.. hahaha! i think i only walked the whole of the park once.. when i was quite young.. actually i didn't even walk, i cycled.. hahaha.. so today was quite tiring.. heh..
then after that we ate at macdonalds!! hee! =) and i drank a medium ice lemon tea, then after that i bought a large ice lemon tea.. and wow, it was REALLY large.. hahahah! =) didn't expect that.. heh.. so we went to the open field to play games.. then later i played catching with this girl called li ting.. waaaa!! she runs very fast! hahahahah! never gives up.. that's why it's very tiring.. hahaha! then we went to play at the playground! hee! and it's the first time i climed the spiderweb!! hahahah! 'cos i'm scared of heights.. but today meishi led me up.. almost to the top, just a few more climbs.. but then i didn't dare to go right to the top.. heh.. too hum.. hahahah! =)
and now i've got a tan! but i don't know whether i'll peel.. 'cos usually i'll peel one/two weeks later.. hahahah! but the sun was merciless today man.. hahaha! =)

wow wee! i just came back from beebee's house.. heh.. me serene and bee had a study camp yesterday and today.. heh.. =) well, i must admit that we really didn't study much.. haaha.. but never mind lah, i had fun! hee! =) and that serene ah.. HOOKED onto the internet.. terrible man.. hahahaa.. but we really enjoyed ourselves alot, yup girls? heh =)
actually i feel very bad leh.. about my studies.. i've told serene and bee too, that ever since i came to jc right, i've become more slack leh.. less disiplined... bleh.. why ah whyyyy?? is it ac?? hai.. how ah? actually i really shouldn't worry lor.. 'cos i've got God to help me all the way.. but then, you know, i'm still human.. hai.. can't help but 'worry' about all these things.. i really feel more slack leh.. bleh..

wow, today's lecture at ttsh was really good!! hee! =) the best lecture so far for our attachment programme.. hee! the doctor was super nice and comments made by aayush made the whole session even better... hee! =) then doctor hwang showed us many many photos of patients with ear/nose/throat conditions.. and the surgerical photos.. WHOA. there was one really gruesome one.. this lady's whole left eye was removed from her face.. actually, her whole left side of her face was removed.. and there were pictures of her after the operation, so you can imagine, one side of her face is gone.. it's faceless.. and the doctors grafted a piece of skin from her thigh onto that area.. and the really weird thing is that the skin colour was off.. hahaha! so i think she should go sun tan.. hahaha! =) and doctor hwang also showed us a picture of the section of her face that was removed from her face.. heh.. =) the eyeball and half-nose and half-mouth was still there.. heh.. =)
i don't care you know.. i really still want to be a surgeon.. a paediatric surgeon.. then i can help those little babies and little kids.. hee! =)

i had a funny dream again.. i dreamt that charmian went right to the doorstep of 2sc4's baseclass.. and she was looking for me.. but i can't really remember for what.. haha.. and you know what?? pc was our gp teacher!!! wahahahahah! he was going through comprehension.. hahahah! and the passage had something like 'duo sensecence..' hahahaha!!!!!!
i just went to the jurong library.. the new one.. it's HUGE.. hahahah! very very big.. and their selection of fiction books have improved much... that's very good.. heh.. 'cos last time they had very horrible, old, outdated books.. heh.. oh.. but then i didn't see any study corners leh.. only like two/three tables (sitting capacity: four) around.. yupyup.. oh ya, and it's super cold there.. so please bring a jacket if you're going to spend more than 10 minutes there.. hahahah! =)

and then there were three... =)
my jiejie and mama just left on the taxi for shanghai.. jie's going to be there for two months, and mummy there for 1 week, just to help my jiejie settle in.. heh.. =) it's nice to travel.. i like going to the airport, onto the plane, and step onto a different land... it's just... different.. hahaha.. ok fine, i'm not making any sense.. heh.. =)
anyway, hi jie!! hee! =)
for the past two days i've been going to tantockseng hospital for an attachment programme to the ENT (ear nose throat) department.. it's really an eye opener for me.. heh.. i got to go into the operating theatre to observe the operations.. and surprisingly i wasn't grossed out or anything.. there was one particular operation where a cyst was removed from a woman's neck.. hee! =) i really respect the surgeons man... they are pro.. i really want to be a surgeon too.. and help people with health problems.. =) but i asked one of the female doctors there, and she said that there are like only 2/3 female surgeons out of 30/80 (can't remember which one it is) in singapore.. but i don't care!! i really want to be a surgeon!! hee! a paediatrician.. =)
next week i'll be going back to ttsh for the whole week to complete the attachment programme.. and i'll get to go to the operating theatre again on thursday.. hee! looking forward to it! =) hopefully i get a nice, interactive surgeon who will explain to us what's going on.. hee! and let us scrub up!! hee! =)
